Description
Vibrant Turkish geometric runner with large medallions. Very good condition with some minor wear on the wool pile.
Large village runners of this length are a challenge to find. 1960s. Exact size is 14 ft. 6 in. by 4 ft. 2 in.
Many Anatolian rugs, such as this one, are woven from 100% natural wool including the warp and weft. No cotton is used.
Wonderful dyes and a sumptuous color palette including reds, yellow gold, and indigo blues.
It does have small areas of dye diffusion from the reds into lighter areas of the rug.
The runner has a fairly supple ‘handle’ and a simple mesh pad may be helpful in keeping it in place on a slippery tile or wood floor.
If you need more photos of the dye spotting, please let me know.
Shipping within the U.S. is $55. Free local pickup is an option, too.
Feel free to email me with any questions. Thank you.
