Large amazing vintage Persian Heriz carpet from NW Persia. This is a traditional design woven near Ahar, Iran.
Condition is very good for a vintage carpet with some visible wear on the wool pile in the interior and a couple spots on the side cords. Fringes are in excellent condition. No weakened or thin areas.
This is a very rugged type of rug that can handle lots of foot traffic if need be.
Colors are lively and balanced, with ample reds, rose red, and ivory. Handwoven and heavy for its size.
