    Description

    Signed vintage Kurdish tribal rug woven in central or western Iran.

    Woven with primary red and black field colors. Some portions of green, which is one of the less common colors in Persian village carpets. Other colors include blue, ivory, gray, and splashes of magenta or pink.

    Geometric medallion motif– with small iconic flowers, birds, and green animals in the central medallion.

    The rug is in excellent overall condition with minor signs of wear on the wool pile. Some abrash with black shifting to dark gray. Side cords and ends are also in superb shape.

    This is a very well woven village carpet and can be used in a high foot traffic area of the home.

    Kurdish weavers have kept their traditions over the decades, producing high quality tribal pieces that are distinctive, durable, and beautiful.

    The size is 9 ft. 9 in. by 3 ft. 9 in. Very heavy for its size.
