Vintage Persian geometric tribal Luri rug woven in apricot and burgundy.
The rug was woven in Western Iran by the Luri, often linked to the Bakhtiari, with whom they share a linguistic and cultural association as many speak Luri.
Minor wear on the wool pile. An uncluttered traditional geometric motif with tribal icons.
Natural wool woven onto cotton warp and weft. Fairly supple rug with a beautiful braided band at each end, right before the cotton fringes.
Exact size is 6 ft. 4 in. by 4 ft. 8 in. 1960s.
