Description
Vibrant Persian garden panel rug motif with stylized flowers, garden scenes, and stately cypress trees.
This is the immemorial version of the garden rug with tile windows, elegant wide borders, and repeating rustic scenes of nature and floral splendor.
Fantastic tribal style abrash! Presents a painterly effect as the weaver is painting in wool.
Impressive use of multiple design elements and bold colors. Tightly woven.
These garden rugs are typically woven by the Bakhtiari tribe. However, from the weaving technique and color palette, this enchanting carpet was woven in Qom or possibly by Kurds near Bijar.
Condition is excellent with almost no signs of any wear. Due to age and the dense tight weave, the rug is a little out of square but lays perfectly flat.
Side cords and fringes are in fine shape
Clean. No odors.
Extremely solid and well crafted rug that can be used in a high foot traffic area of the house.
Pleasing well-balanced colors including blue, white, brick red, green, orange, salmon, turquoise, black, ivory, and rose.
The garden panel motif is also known as a ‘khesti’ motif, and dates back several centuries in Iran. The Bakhtiari are masters of the design, but it is also woven by the Luri and the Qashqai, and occasionally in the cities of Qom and Tabriz.
