Lovely muted old Turkish village rug central Anatolia. 100% natural wool.
Ivory, crimson, muted grape, gold are some of the prominent colors. Large medallion on an ivory field.
Very good condition with some minor wear. Faint dye diffusion in a couple of areas.
Exact size is 7 ft. 6 in. by 4 ft. 6 in. 1960s. Out of my personal collection.
Gracefully woven by a skilled village weaver based on techniques that go back thousands of years.
Central Anatolia produces a very high quality wool with rich lanolin, giving the rug a silky feel.
