Bold handwoven geometric Hamadan village rug with tremendous character from decades of use.
Lots of even wear across the rug on the wool pile. The side cords have been redone so they are in great shape.
The wear is shown in the closeup photos.
Super vivid geometric piece that remains solid despite the general wear. Probably best with a pad to help keep it flat.
Colors include crimson, orange, black, blue, purple, violet, yellow and white.
The carpet was handwoven in the Hamadan district, which consists of a constellation of villages in central Iran that produce many of the finest tribal and geometric rugs in the world.
