Description
Stately handmade carpet displaying a royal African style lion with full mane. The lion once roamed through the Middle East, Southeast Europe and even Southern Russia. Having been hunted relentlessly, the lion is now confined to Sub-Saharan Africa and a remnant population in Western India.
Inspired by Persian rugs, this carpet was carefully crafted on a hand-loom. The lion is an historical symbol of ancient and modern Persia.
