Handwoven red natural wool and cotton gabbeh carpet.
Simple design elements including critters on a variegated red field. Fringes have been tucked under a side cord to protect them.
This has become more common in modern rugs, especially many woven in Tibet. I have largely one quite similar with fringes exposed.
The wool pile is thick and plush. Mint condition. Pristine.
Exact size is 5 ft. 10 in. by 4 ft. 1 in. Probably woven in Tibet although similar wool gabbeh rugs are also handcrafted in Nepal.

Perfect condition. Lovely modest sized carpet with tribal abrash and variegatied colors.
