Vintage handwoven geometric tribal rug woven in reds and blues with traditional Josheghan medallion and stylized flowers.
Stylized flowers will also appear as similar to diamonds and snowflakes.
The city of Joshagan has a long tradition of rug weaving, and Joshagan rugs are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and artistic value.
Finely woven. It’s difficult to find old antique Joshagan carpets in such great condition.

A traditional tribal medallion design. A “Joshagan rug” is a rug that originates from the city of Joshagan (also spelled Joshaghan or Josheghan) in central Iran.
Joshagan rugs are known for their unique and distinctive designs, which often feature geometric patterns, intricate medallions, and a wide range of colors.
Scintillating village carpet from the Josheghan region of central Iran. Similar rugs also originate in the nearby village of Maymeh.

Josheghan rugs are extremely well made and very durable. They are from the Isfahan province, and dazzling and distinctive design is often copied outside of Persia.
Heavy and densely woven. Decades of life left in this old vintage persian.
