Traditional handwoven stylized pictorial tribal carpet from Fars in Southwest Persia.
Depicts royalty, women and children, horses and a a horseback rider.
Woven by the tribal Qashqai or Khamseh. You can view the carpet as a long tapestry; it could mounted on the wall in a room with high ceilings.
Various shades of purple, cream, and burnt orange.
Excellent condition with some issues: the carpet is a bit out of square; small amounts of wear on the wool pile; slight dye pickup.
100% natural wool pile, including warp and weft.
Size is 12 ft. 7 in. by 4 ft. 4 in.
