Charming old Persian tribal Luri or Bakhtiari rug with an amazing bird motif — showcasing birds of all sizes and colors.
The rug was woven in Western Iran. The two tribal groups, Luri and Bakhtiari, share a linguistic and cultural association as many speak Luri.
Excellent overall condition for the age with some minor wear. Signed by the tribal weaver
Natural wool woven onto cotton warp and weft. Fairly supple.
Exact size is 9 ft. 6 in. by 5 ft. 5 in. 1960s.
