Description
Small mint Persian village rug from Southwest Iran. Probably woven in Shiraz or Abadeh by a skilled Qashqai artisan.
From the mint condition, the rug was probably only used on a wall — it is easily oriented like a painting or tapestry– never on the floor. However, it is a solid little rug that can be used on the floor without concern.
A bucolic scene with white reindeer in an open forest with mountains, blue sky, and clouds as a backdrop.
Natural wool woven onto to cotton warp.
Exact size is 3 ft. by 1 ft. 8 in. 1970s or 1980s.
Strong colors, exquisite details.
Shipping is free within continental U.S.!
