Fantastic narrow antique tribal rug with birds, Persian lions, a horse and rider. Difficult to find narrow handwoven runners.
Excellent condition with small corner repair on one end.
Vibrant colors including green, blue, orange and white.
Heavy and solid. Has some minor pile wear on one end. Also the damaged corner with small repair.
Woven from 100% natural wool — the warp and weft is natural cotton.

The exact size is 12 ft. 2 in. by 2 ft. 8 in.
It’s a Qashqai – Shiraz Motif.
The Qashqai are a confederation of 5 distinct tribal groups who banded together in a political alliance in the 19th century.
Another confederation — the Khamseh — formed in the 19th century as a counterbalance to the Qashqai. The rugs of all of these tribes are quite similar in many respects.
