Description
Traditional medallion Caucasian motif runner in excellent condition. Unusual ivory and green colors as most of these rugs use black or navy blue for the field colors.
Almost no signs of wear except a bit on the side cords. Fringes are near perfect. There are a couple of small areas of old dye blush on one edge, and I’ve added a closeup photo of this. Possibly from when the rug was first washed and suspended to dry.
Fine natural wool on cotton warp. 1960s.
Exact size is 9 ft. 10 in. by 4 ft. 3 in.
Very heavy and solid for its size, and can be used in a high foot traffic area without concern.
There are some tiny leaf specks that were blown onto the rug as it was a windy day when I took the photos.
A wonderful tribal textile from the traditional Shirvan Caucasian rug producing region near the border of Iran and Azerbaijan.
Shipping is $43 within continental U.S.
