Antique handwoven village carpet from west Persia. Woven by the tribal Bakhtiari. Remarkable pastel colors with salmon and blue.
This is a rare version of the garden rug, which normally uses a box, tile or window design.
This carpet changes the boxes into curvilinear pattern with stylized trees, flowers, and boteh icons. The garden panel design is also known as the khesti motif.
The fantastic cypress trees, foliage and flowers are common in these Persian garden rugs.
Overall condition is excellent for the age with little signs of wear. No holes or weak areas. The rug is very durable.
This is a solid rug and can be placed in a high foot traffic area of the home.

The cotton fringes and side cords are in great shape.
